Thong’s childhood
When I was a boy, I lived with my family in Donghenh village in Savannakhet province. I used to swim in the river with my friends every day after school. I was very good at Sephktakraw because I used to practise every weekend. My family raised some chickens, and I used to look after them.
I was quite thin when I was young, because I didn’t use to eat very much, but I was very healthy. My mother used to make sure I ate plenty of fresh vegetables. Sometimes, it was difficult to sleep because we had a dog that used to bark all night!
